Look, I just saw it for myself, The Sims 3 has been leaked and I’m here to ask you to please don’t download it!!!!! Support EA and The Sims and wait for the release in two weeks!

As much as I want to play the game and as tempting as it is to go and download it I refuse to. I’m setting an example in hopes that everyone will follow, so even though I pre-ordered it I will hold back and wait.

I mean they go and remove SecuRom for us and they get repaid with the worst case scenario. Now this might mean that every other game by EA is gonna have it and no amount of complaining is gonna change it! Please don’t support the pirates, don’t go out and search for an illegal copy, even if your like me and your gonna purchase it.

So stick with me and all the other Sims Fans, support EA and wait!

Just remember if you steal it, the sim gods will poison your computer.

Yep, looks like someone messed up somewhere and let people find the new Sims 3 site. You need a password to get onto it now but they left it up long enough for SimPrograms to steal some pictures and videos first.

The new post talks all about the experience of the “Create a Movie” feature. I’m not much of a director but hey, it sounds pretty interesting. I can’t wait to give it a shot for my self, gonna start a DaSims Show. Or not, but hey ya never know it could possibly maybe happen.

Well if your not familiar with who exactly Will Wright is, you shouldn’t call your self a Sims fan (just kidding, but not really). Anyway he was the co-founder of Maxis back in 1989 and the visionary behind Spore, The Sims and SimCity. Pretty much if he wasn’t around I wouldn’t be talking about The Sims, because it wouldn’t have been created!!!

So why is he leaving? Well he wants to invest in his “Stupid Fun Club”, which I honestly can’t figure out what it’s about. I mean there site doesn’t divulge too much information on what they’re about but EA is also investing in the whole thing.

Anyway, who’s the new big boss of Maxis? Well, from the press release it looks like Lucy Bradshaw, is now in charge (Congrats Lucy)

P.S. Technically he’s leaving Maxis but Maxis is part of EA so yeah.

Well, if you have no idea what ram is then it’s probably gonna be a little hard to figure out if your computer is powerful enough for The Sims 3. Lucky for you, System Requirements Lab came to the rescue, and now you test your computers hardware to see if you can run The Sims 3.

So we all saw that Sims 3 billboard last week, but here is and ad that makes it look like a dinky little poster hanging from the window of a pizza shop.

I actually managed to find out some details!!!

This building has been home to advertisements for the Chevy Corvette, BMW, The Travel Channel (my personal favorite ad) and AOL. Take a look at some of the pictures:

You read right, some pricks are  trying to take advantage of The Sims community by spreading a virus claiming that it is in fact a demo of The Sims 3. So far it’s been seen on The Sims 3 Facebook page as an advertisement, and has actually been downloaded by some anxious fans.

So heed this warning, DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY DEMO! If their is a legitimate demo out there we will be the first to tell you.

If you remember just about a month ago their were talks of DRM protection on The Sims 3, which outraged a ton of Sims fans including myself. They were planing something similar to the game Spore, and let’s just say that they took ALOT of heat by gamers for it.

Well, EA’s Rod Humble said, in a post at the official Sims 3 site, that they are going to use a traditional copy protection meathod:

We have heard your requests over the past months and here is our plan for The Sims 3 – The game will have disc-based copy protection there is a Serial Code just like The Sims 2. To play the game there will not be any online authentication needed.

We feel like this is a good, time-proven solution that makes it easy for you to play the game without DRM methods that feel overly invasive or leave you concerned about authorization server access in the distant future.

Great news for all us Sims fans, thanks EA!!!

The Sims 3 is going to have the most advanced “free will” system ever! The Sims 3 AI team (artificial intelligence) released a little info on how their free will system in the Sims 3 is gonna work and it sounds amazing.

You won’t have to take them step by step in those boring things like taking a shit, showering and what not. In The Sims 3 they’ll be able to take care of themselves, so you can work on building your Sim up socially, mentally and physically.

The really interesting thing though, is your Sims’ “autonomous behavior,” they act diffrently based on there personallity, where they are, and how well they know the people they are with. They gave an awesome example on their official site, if you invite an aquaintence over, they aren’t just gonna cook you food or take a nap on your couch. But if it’s your close friend or they have an “insane” personality then they may do those things.

These features are gonna take The Sims 3 to an entirely new level, it’s gonna be more realistic, interesting and fun to play.
