Sims 3 Cheats

To bring up the cheat console in The Sims 3 press CTRL+SHIFT+C (or CTRL+SHIFT+WindowsKey+C for Vista). Enter the codes below for the desired effect.

Money Cheats

kaching -This gives you $1,000
motherlode – This gives you $50,000
familyFunds [x][y] – Give money to a family, where [x] is the family’s last name and [y] is the amount

Camera Cheats

hideHeadlineEffects [on/off] – Hide all meters and effects
fadeObjects [on/off] – Toggles object fade when camera zooms
slowMotionViz [x] – Slow motion, where [x] is 0-8 (0 is normal)

Building Cheats

constrainFloorElevation [true/false] – Forces terrain adjustments regardless of objects, Sims, and other structures
disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt [on/off] – Hold Alt to avoid object snap when toggled
moveobjects [on/off] – Move anything (including Sims) in your Buy/Build mode

System Cheats

quit – Quit the game
help – Lists all available cheats/commands
fps [on/off] – Toggles frames per second in upper right of HUD
fullscreen [on/off] – Toggles windowed mode

Misc. Cheats

resetSim [x] – Resets the named Sim with neutral motives, no moodlets, and teleports Sim back home where [x] is first and last name
unlockOutfits [on/off] – Unlocks outfits in CAS (Create a Sim) mode. Note: Must be enabled before entering CAS

Random/Useless Cheats

enableLlamas – I can’t figure out what this one does, but Llamas sound good to me
jokePlease – Summon a joke

The All Powerful Sims 3 Testing Cheat

testingcheatsenabled [true/false] – Turns on Testing Cheats (Details Below)

Dragging Bars

- You can drag your need bars left or right to drain or fill them.
- You can drag relationship bars under the image of a person left or right to raise or lower the relationship

Clicking The Mailbox

Holding shift and clicking the mailbox brings up a simple menu with the following options

- Make All Happy
- Make Friends For Me
- Make Needs Static or Make Needs Dynamic
- Make Me Know Everyone
- Force Visitor
- Various “Force NPC” options
- Various “Set Career” options

Clicking On Your Work Place

When holding shift and clicking on the active Sims place of work you get the following options

- Force Opportunity
- Force Event
- Force All Events

Clicking On The Ground

Holding [shift] and clicking on the ground will bring up the following options

- Teleport Here

Clicking On Moodlets

Holding [ctrl] and clicking a Moodlet in the Moodlet panel to remove it.
Note: If it is motive-induced, the bar related to the negative Moodlet will be completely filled.
